Before you contact customer service
Photograph the label on the restraint. Support teams can work much faster when you have the exact model name/number, manufacture date and serial or batch information. If the question concerns a vehicle installation, have the vehicle year, make, model and seating position ready too.
For a missing manual
Use the current manual for the exact model number, not a manual that merely looks similar. Product families often reuse names while changing mode limits, routing or accessory instructions.
For a crash or damaged seat
Tell the manufacturer exactly what happened. Replacement guidance can depend on the restraint maker’s policy and the crash circumstances. Do not rely on a retailer review or forum post for a decision about continued use.
Recall workflow
- Find the model number and manufacture date on the restraint label.
- Check the current NHTSA recall database and the manufacturer’s recall page.
- Register the restraint with the manufacturer so future safety notices can reach you.
- If a recall applies, follow the remedy instructions rather than improvising a repair.
Save the numbers you use repeatedly
Once you locate the manual, enter the relevant mode limits in the Car Seat Calculator, dimensions in the Dimensions Database, and vehicle measurements in the Fit Checklist. Those notes remain local to your browser.

Sources & verification
Use this page as a planning aid, not a replacement for the manuals. Child restraints and vehicles have model-specific requirements. Verify your child restraint manual, vehicle owner's manual and current manufacturer guidance before installation.
